The charts of the Archive Statistics dialog provide a quick overview of the current MxFFS archive status (see also Storage on External File Server / Flash Device).

Description |
---|---|
Transfer Statistics |
|
Bandwidth Histogram: Connection Speed |
Connection speed as measured during individual data transfers. Due to buffering, this chart can show values that are higher than the actual available network bandwidth. |
Bandwidth Distribution |
Distribution of the bandwidth that is available for transfers during the day (i.e., the last 24 hours). |
Archiving History |
|
Maximum Queue Fill Level |
Distribution of the MxFFS data blocks waiting for transfer during the day (i.e., the last 24 hours). Notes
|
Enqueued 4MB blocks |
Number of MxFFS data blocks waiting for transfer during the day (i.e., the last 24 hours). Notes
|
Transferred 4MB blocks |
Number of MxFFS data blocks transfered during the day (i.e., the last 24 hours). NoteThe number of blocks in this chart is an indicator for the volume of transfered data (number x 4MB) as well as the attained data rate. |
Lost 4MB blocks |
Number of lost MxFFS data blocks during the day (i.e., the last 24 hours). |
Archiving Reliability |
|
Archive Connection Outages |
Pattern of the detected archive connection failures in the course of the day since resetting the archive statistics. NoteFrequent or evenly distributed connection failures indicate that the network is running at capacity. You should take measures to reduce the network load (more powerful hardware, segmenting the network into smaller parts, etc.). |
Archive Verification Errors |
Pattern of the errors detected when verifying the transferred archive data in the course of the day since resetting the archive statistics. |
Block Retransmissions |
Pattern of retransmissions of MxFFS data blocks in the course of the day since resetting the archive statistics. |
Buffered Transfers |
|
Direct Transfers into Archive |
Percentage of MxFFS blocks written directly into the archive, i.e., there was no need to buffer these blocks on the SD card. Notes
|
Target Switches |
Number of instances in which the camera had to switch between direct archive storage and buffering on the SD card. NoteNote that the camera switches back and forth between direct archive storage and buffering on the SD card a couple of times per hour for administrative purposes. |
Internal Storage Statistics |
|
Internal Transfer Bandwidth Histogram |
Allows assessing the speed with which the recorder stores blocks in the internal buffers. |
Internally Transferred 4MB Blocks |
Number of blocks stored in the course of the day (or since rebooting the camera). |
If a chart shows time-of-day values, the current interval is highlighted in yellow.
